Here's my first week's photo for the 52 week course I'm taking with Kim Klassen called Beyond Layers. It was a grey rainy day here and I think that must've influenced the shadows of the background. I couldn't decide which of these I liked better. The top one I reduced the soft light's opacity by quite a bit. What do you think?

Great photo Janet, good luck with the 52 weeks
I can't decide either, they are both beautiful Janet!
I could not decide the composition and bokeh effect are charming
I can't decide either - both are really beautiful!
They are both beautiful but I think I like the bottom one better. It has kind of a 3D effect.
They are both gorgeous, Janet. But I think I like the top one better!
I like the contrast of the second one. I would put the quote in darker letters so it stands out more. Good luck with your class!
Very nice Janet, I like the second one the best because the colors area bit more saturated and have a bit more detail and I like the light a bit more in this one!
That is a lovely photo. After going back and forth between them about a dozen times, I'd say I like the second one just the tiniest bit more. There's something about the colors, they seem richer to me. :)
Both of them are beautiful. If I had to choose, I'd pick the second one but only by a hair.
I couldn't tell the difference at first, but then I saw it. So I'm not a good judge, I guess. I do like the first one better! {:-D
Both are beautiful in it's own way! Have a great week! Patsy from

I like the second one because it seems as if the red stands out more on the lower leaf.
Great photo!

I have trouble deciding those things, too!
first impression--I like the clarity of the second one better. Ask me tomorrow and I may have a different answer.
